This policy covers contact forms, technical requests, downloads, subscriptions, quotes and samples. It follows the framework of Colombian Law 1581 of 2012 and its applicable regulations.

Depending on the form, we receive your name, company, email, phone number, country, language and inquiry. Technical requests may include applications, materials, processes, volumes, products of interest and files you provide; samples may require shipping details.

We also record dates, request status, the source page and campaign parameters included in the access link. Services supporting the website may process technical connection data for operation and security. Avoid including sensitive data or personal information about others that is unnecessary for your request.

We use this information to answer inquiries, recommend coatings, deliver requested resources, prepare quotes, coordinate samples and provide technical and commercial follow-up. It also helps organize contacts by language and interest and identify which pages or campaigns generate requests.

The application form saves progress in your browser and, once a valid email is provided, may save a cloud draft before final submission. This allows you to resume your request and receive reminders to complete it. You may ask us to delete a draft or stop reminders.

Where required by law, processing must have your prior informed authorization, except where a legal exemption applies. Reading this policy does not itself authorize every use of your information.

Downloads and forms may lead to follow-up about the requested resource or product; subscriptions allow commercial updates. You can ask us by email to stop promotional communications or use an unsubscribe link where available. This does not prevent replies or notices needed for an ongoing request.

The website uses Google Firebase and Firestore to store forms and drafts, and Brevo to manage contacts and communications. Certain form submissions also record a conversion in Coaterex’s commercial tracking tool, including details such as email, company, language, resource and source campaign.

Depending on your request, email, hosting, technical support or logistics providers may be involved. These operations may involve processing outside Colombia, subject to the applicable international data transmission or transfer rules. Information may also be disclosed to authorities where legally required.

The website uses local storage to limit repeated form submissions and session storage to save technical request progress. Submission limits consider a ten-minute window; local records may remain until updated or until you clear site data.

You can clear or block cookies and storage in your browser. This may prevent recovery of a local draft or affect some features; clearing browser data does not delete forms or drafts already saved in our systems. External services have their own policies.

We retain data for the time needed to handle your request, maintain the business relationship and meet applicable legal or contractual obligations. Duration depends on the record and its purpose; this policy does not set a single period for all data.

You can request deletion of information that is no longer necessary. If an obligation requires retention of a record, we will explain the reason and scope. A saved draft does not mean a final request has been submitted.

The website uses access controls, authentication for administrative features and form validation. No transmission or storage system offers an absolute security guarantee.

Keep draft recovery, quote and sample links private: they may provide access to information associated with your request. Contact us if you believe a link or your information has been exposed.

You may access, update and correct your data, obtain access free of charge, request proof of authorization and ask how your information has been used. You may also request withdrawal of authorization or deletion where applicable and where no legal or contractual duty requires retention.

If you believe your rights have been infringed, you may contact Colombia’s Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC), after completing the inquiry or complaint process with the controller where required.

Email contacto@coaterex.com with the subject “Personal data”. Include your name, the email used in your request, what you wish to access or change and a reply channel. If acting for someone else, provide evidence of representation. We may request proportionate information to verify your identity.

Under the Colombian procedure, inquiries are handled within ten business days of receipt, with a notified extension of up to five business days. Complaints are handled within fifteen business days starting the day after receipt, with a notified extension of up to eight business days. If information is missing, we will explain how to complete your request.

Opening WhatsApp, LinkedIn or other external links takes you to services with their own terms and privacy policies. This policy describes Coaterex’s processing and does not replace those services’ policies.

The website is intended for professional and business contacts and does not intentionally request children’s personal data. Contact us if a child’s information has been submitted by mistake so we can arrange deletion under applicable rules.

This version applies from the date shown above. We will publish updates here to reflect changes to services, purposes or applicable requirements. Material changes will be communicated through appropriate channels and renewed authorization requested where required.
